Public Domain Is Cool
Robinson Crusoe, Swiss Family Robinson, Gulliver’s Travels, Treasure Island… What do all these books have in common? They’re classics, and they are public domain.
Copyrights have been steadily extended ever since Mickey Mouse started to get old. Many more recent works will apparently never enter the public domain. That means nobody can print them without the explicit permission of the original writer or whoever bought the rights from them. Beloved works such as The Lord Of The Rings, The Chronicles Of Narnia, and Star Wars may never become public property because of this.
I don’t want to see that happen to my works. So I’m releasing them to you now. Specifically, everything published by me on this blog is public property. Maybe it’s not classic, but at least it’s free.
Release Of Copyright
I release all content that I have published on my blog “10kLuke.info” to the public domain. I retain no copyright.
No penalty shall be exacted for editing, reproducing, or deriving new works from this material, with or without attribution, and irrespective of profit obtained therefrom.
